Mauser M 03 American Eagle

With Eagle Eyes

It's all in the name with this M 03 - "American Eagle." The fore-end tip is the head of a bald head eagle, the national emblem of the USA, crafted elaborately by hand in mammoth ivory by master engraver Ralph Salzmann.

The piercing eyes and pointed beak are focussed on its prey. The fine Alpine stock connected to the ivory head has a carving that depicts the feathers of the majestic bird of prey. The grade 7 wood stock, incorporating a fluted barrel, captivates with its distinctive "tiger stripes" that also depict the feathers of the bird. Framed by fine arabesque motifs and feathers, the portrait of the predator is engraved on the magazine base plate. Its special features include the golden beak and white head as well as the black feathers of the body. The chamber and trigger guard are also adorned with engraved arabesque motifs and feather decoration and also have fine gold detailing. The bolt handle depicts one of the bird's teeth. The antique gilded balls set in the eagle's claws gives the Mauser M 03 rifle a unique touch.

Without a doubt, the bald eagle attacks its prey with the same speed and precision as the shot fired by the hunter with his M 03 "American Eagle."
