Mauser M 03 “DSC Hatari”

The annual Hatari Meeting hosted by the Dallas Safari Club in January 2005 in Texas USA seemed like the perfect occasion for the creation of a big game rifle with spectacular appearance. Once again our engravers have proved the fact that they are on the top of their game. The M 03 Hatari merges an elegant overall impression with an incredible love for detail.

The silver grey action boasts fine English scroll engravings on all exposed surfaces extending to the base of the barrel and sight bases. On the heavily blued parts of the barrel fine gold inlays give an even stronger effect to the masterful engraving.

The Magazine floor plate boasts an embossed mature cape buffalo crowned by the Mauser coat of arms. The grip cap shows the official logo of the Dallas Safari Club with the charging Elephant. A special head turner is of course the bolt handle, which ends in a Leopard head masterfully carved and engraved out of solid steel. A special rifle deserves a special stock. The wood is hand selected very rare, honey colour grade 10 with a lively structure and rich in contrasts from the root of the walnut tree.

We will supply the “Hatari” with a spare barrel, telescopic sights and various accessories in an equally masterfully crafted custom rifle case made of leather. This case is possibly one of the best examples that turning our clients dreams into reality does not stop with just designing rifles.

Important information to our customers:

The creation of a rifle of such quality does not follow the normal rules of production. Depending on the Master Engraver in charge of the rifle it may take up to one year to complete the work. However we can assure you that the anticipation of possessing a unique weapon of such quality for the rest of your life will make the wait worth your while.
