On this variant of the Big Five, Africa’s most wanted are not united on the Magazine floor plate but tastefully scattered around the entire rifle. The game motives are placed on the rifle using flat line engraving techniques, which allow for the utmost detail. English scroll and arabesques frame the game motives on this weapon. The Cape Buffalo can be found on the left hand side of the receiver head, a formidable Mane Lion on the opposite side. The grip cap plays host to the Hippo. The Leopard is placed on the trigger guard. The centrepiece of this masterpiece however is the Elephant on the magazine floor plate. The love for detail and the quality of the artwork offers the conoceur of fine engravings a real treat. All parts of the action have a matt silver finish standing off sharply against the black barrel with its double line gold inlay. Of course a special rifle deserves special wood. Hand selected very rare wood (grade 10) finishes off this masterpiece of traditional rifle making.
